Yavuz Sahin

Yavuz Sahin is a Genetics Global Talent Fellow at Open Avenues, where he works with students leading projects in Medical Genetics.

Yavuz is a Genetic Curation Scientist at Fulgent Genetics where HE works on critical analysis of the undiagnosed patients’ diseases and prioritises the genetic variants to make a diagnosis. Yavuz has 7 of years of experience in Medical Genetics. He is very familiar with genetics literature and the ACMGG classification scheme. He performed analysis of about 4500 WES/WGS cases which has led to improved patient care, management as well as discovery of new disease-gene associations. He published lots of genetic scientific paper. He holds a degree in Medical Genetics.

A fun fact about Yavuz: He has two beautiful daughters.
