Maria Rosala

Maria Rosala is a User Experience Build Fellow at Open Avenues, where she works with students leading projects in user experience (UX) research and design.

Maria is the Director of Research at Nielsen Norman Group, where she leads user experience research operations. She also consults clients, designs and conducts user experience research, writes and publishes UX content and instructs professionals from around the world.

Maria has been working in the User Experience field for over a decade. She started her career in civil tech in the UK, and has since worked as a consultant with global clients from numerous industries spanning healthcare, education, pharma, and construction.

Maria holds a Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction.

In her time off work, she enjoys the outdoors and planning backpacking trips.
