As a fundamental analyst on a trading desk, Florentin provides fundamental overlay to the desk’s trading strategies. This includes bottoms-up valuation of individual companies or top-down analysis of sector- or country-level themes.
Florentin has over 3 years of experience in trading. He graduated from Yale with a degree in Economics. At university, he studied models for risk propensity in decision-making and tested those models empirically.
After a short stint in investment banking, Florentin switched paths to an investing and trading-driven role at Citadel Securities. His experiences make him a useful resource for questions on a career in investment banking, private equity, or hedge funds.

Fernando Lemus is a Finance Manager at Insight M Inc. where he works directing and implementing financial planning & analysis process, improving internal controls and accounting processes, managing the company’s equity platform and leading the yearly external audit accounting process.
Fernando has over 9 years of experience in finance related positions: 6 years in investment banking and 3 years in corporate financial planning & analysis roles.
He holds a degree in Business Administration with a Major in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Joe Dillamore is a Finance Build Fellow at Open Avenues, where he works with students leading projects in Real Estate Finance.
Joe is CEO & Finance Manager at Petra Loan Servicing Corp, where he is building a new startup in the private mortgage lending space.
Joe has over eight years of experience in the real estate finance field. He is co-owner of Think Property Finance, a UK-based lending company, and was previously the founder of Hardback, a lending marketplace.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University.
A fun fact about Joe is that he loves to travel and travelled to every continent (other than Antarctica!) in his teens.

Flora has over 3 years of experience in the finance field, with a career spanning investments in cutting-edge enterprise software startups. Flora holds a B.S. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Columbia University.

Anas Qurt is a Finance Global Talent Fellow at Open Avenues, where he works with students leading projects in finance, trade finance, and data analytics.
Anas is the Head of Finance and Accounting at Real Beauty USA, where he manages financial strategy, operations, pricing, inventory analytics, e-commerce, and route optimization.
Anas has over 10 years of experience in finance and banking. He previously served as Head of Financial Product Development and Head of Trade Finance and FI Relationship at Palestine Islamic Bank, where he developed new financial products, managed correspondent banking relationships, and oversaw trade finance operations. Earlier, he was a Team Leader at REACH for Telecommunication Services, leading U.S. client projects and customer management initiatives.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from Birzeit University and an MBA from Chicago State University.
Louis is a Finance Fellow at Open Avenues, where he works with students leading projects in Commodities Trading.
Louis is also a Commodities Associate at Citadel, where he focuses on analyzing and trading agricultural and biofuel products.
Louis has over three years of experience in the commodities trading field having worked previously in physical commodities trading before transitioning to the derivatives trading side. He holds a BS in Information Science and Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
Barry Liu is a Finance Build Fellow at Open Avenues Foundation, where he works with students leading project in finance.
Barry is a investment process associate at Arrowstreet Capital, where he focuses on portfolio optimization.
Barry has over 3 years of experience in quantitative finance field, specializing in signal research and portfolio optimization.
He holds a M.S. in Math in Finance degree from NYU.

Yash is a Private Equity Associate at Abacus Investments, where he supports investment analysis and portfolio management.
He has over 6 years of experience in the finance and private equity field. He has worked on deals over $200 million in value, led diligence for major acquisitions, and supported portfolio companies across healthcare, real estate, and specialty finance sectors.
He holds a Master’s in Finance from Yale University and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Delhi.
A fun fact about Yash is that he’s a lifelong cricket fan and once captained his college team—he’s also a competitive chess player.

Jasmine has 1 year of finance experience and is currently a Trading Operations Specialist at Virtu Financial, a global financial firm specializing in market making and execution services. In her role, she supports the trade lifecycle, investigates exceptions, and develops automation tools using Python and SQL to streamline operational processes.
Jasmine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Boston College.
She is currently trying to teach her cats how to high-five.

Tanishka is a Fund Manager at Cypress Creek Renewables, where she focuses on financial structuring for utility-scale solar assets.
Tanishka has over 5 years of experience in the renewable energy finance field. She has worked across investment analysis and project structuring to support the growth and optimization of clean energy infrastructure.
She holds a MPA from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs
