Armand is a machine learning engineer at comma.ai, where he focuses on deep learning infrastructure. He makes sure training models is fast and easy.

He has 3 years of experience in the field. He has previously worked at Weight&Biases making deep learning educational videos, and at LoyalForDogs quantifying dog aging.

Hayden is a Data Science Build Fellow at Open Avenues Foundation, where he works with students leading projects in Data Science and Biotechnology (machine learning for genomics).

Hayden is a Lead Data Scientist at Day Zero Diagnostics, where he focuses on developing new algorithms and software to diagnose antibiotic resistance profiles of bacteria from genomic sequencing data.

Hayden has over 9 years of experience in the Data Science field. He started his career at the Ministry of Justice, UK before moving into genomics and biotechnology in 2021 and is interested in how to apply foundation models to DNA based data.

He holds a Master’s in Data Science from Harvard University.

A fun fact about Hayden is that has been trying to sew his own outfits, with very mixed success!

Sushant Karki is a Data Science Build Fellow at Open Avenues Foundation, where he works with students leading projects in AI-powered data science and autonomous agent development.

He brings over nine years of experience spanning full-stack web development, cloud infrastructure, and applied machine learning in both the United States and Japan, with a focus on translating research advances into reliable production systems.
Sushant holds a Master of Professional Studies in Machine Learning from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a B.S. in Computer Information Science and Mathematics from Missouri Southern State University.

Belise Bwiza is a Data Science Global Talent Fellow at Open Avenues, where she works with students leading projects in Data Science.

Belise is a Research Analyst at GRA, Incorporated, where focuses on analyzing the economics of improving aviation sustainability in the face of climate change, evaluating business cases for new applications of aviation, and forecasting
traffic and revenue on potential new airline routes.

Belise has over three of years of experience in the research and data field. Prior to joining GRA, Incorporated, Belise conducted research and data analysis in international development, as well as research on aviation markets
in Africa.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in quantitative economics.
